Athletes

Pursuit Active is for everyone who loves sport, the outdoors and adventure. It’s for the amateur up and coming athlete, the week-end warrior in us al and the under 6s rugby union coach. We’ve also had great feedback from professional athletes as well and in fact work in consultation with them to continually refine and develop our technology in both lenses and frames.
However, you don’t have to hold a world record to wear our performance eyewear, you just have to have a passion for your chosen sport and love the outdoors as much as we do.

We follow a range of professional and amateur athletes.

We’ve recently been following the progress of Matthew Guyatt – Professional Golfer

Sports Sunglasses, Affordable Eyewear Matthew Guyatt is a Professional Golfer whose playing career only really began in 2011. The fact he’s relatively new on the professional circuit makes his win in the 2011 NSW PGA on the Australasian Tour quite impressive. This year will be busy for Matthew as apart from 6 – 8 events within Australia, Matthew also has 15 international trips planned as part of the One Asia Tour, the Australasian Tour and the Challenge Tour in Japan. He played in the Indonesian Open in March, the New Zealand PGA in April, and has recently achieved 2nd place in the Kimisarazu GL GMA Challenge Tournament, part of the Challenge Tour in Japan. Matthew was really happy with his form, although when we spoke to him, he was a little worried about all the interviews coming his way, which of course were in Japanese!

When not travelling the world, you’ll find Matthew practicing at the Indooroopilly Golf Course in Brisbane. Matthew has 3 gorgeous kids, Jack, 8, Jonte, 6 and Eden, 2. Together with his wife Rachel, the whole family misses him while he’s on tour, but are all 100% behind him!

We gave Matthew several pairs of Pursuit Active performance eyewear to test. He was impressed!

“Pursuit Active sunglasses are light, durable and outstanding value for money.
I hardly know I’m wearing them, which is great for golf and in bright sunlight or overcast conditions, they are exceptional.”
